Cotswolds Children & Families Team
Temporary Opportunity
Gloucestershire County Council are looking for an experienced Child & Family Social Worker to join their Cotswolds Children & Families Team on a temporary basis, initial 3 month contract. Pay rate £42 Umbrella. Full time hours.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive service where you will manage a varied caseload of children and families, delivering effective, evidence-based interventions with a focus on positive outcomes, timeliness, and impact.
The caseload will consist of approximately 18 children and young people, including a mix of:
- Children in Need (CIN)
- Child Protection (CP)
- Children in Care (CIC)
- Some court work
The team is committed to supporting flexible working arrangements and understands the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Hybrid working is available where service needs allow, with an expectation that workers attend the office 3 days per week. All children must be seen face to face as part of the role.
Successful candidates will be provided with a laptop and smartphone to support agile working.
To apply for this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience working in the UK as a registered Social Worker
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
- 3 years’ referencing history
- A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
