The Role
As a Stock Condition Surveyor, you'll be responsible for inspecting residential properties across Gloucestershire, ensuring accurate and reliable data is captured to support asset management strategies.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Carrying out comprehensive Stock Condition Surveys across a varied housing portfolio.
· Assessing the condition and remaining lifespan of key building components.
· Identifying defects, maintenance requirements and future investment needs.
· Recording accurate survey information using handheld devices and asset management software.
· Producing clear and detailed survey reports.
· Working closely with Asset Management and Planned Maintenance teams to support investment programmes.
· Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with organisational standards and timescales.
· Maintaining excellent relationships with residents while delivering a professional service.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
· Previous experience carrying out Stock Condition Surveys, ideally within social housing.
· A sound understanding of residential construction methods and common building defects.
· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to collect accurate property data.
· Strong organisational and communication skills.
· Experience using digital surveying systems and Microsoft Office.
· The ability to work independently while managing your own workload.
· A full UK driving licence.
Relevant surveying qualifications (HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent) are desirable but not essential for candidates with strong practical experience.
