Are you passionate about supporting communities and helping people sustain their tenancies? We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Housing Officer to join a leading social housing organisation serving communities across South Wales.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. From tenancy management and estate inspections to supporting residents and working with partner agencies, you'll play a key part in creating safe, thriving neighbourhoods.

The Role
As a Housing Officer, you'll manage a designated patch of properties, delivering a high-quality housing management service while building positive relationships with residents and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Managing a portfolio of social housing tenancies
· Supporting new tenants through sign-ups and tenancy sustainment
· Carrying out regular estate and neighbourhood inspections
· Investigating anti-social behaviour (ASB) and working towards positive resolutions
· Managing low-level tenancy breaches and neighbourhood disputes
· Conducting home visits and welfare checks where required
· Working alongside local authorities, support agencies, and contractors
· Identifying safeguarding concerns and making appropriate referrals
· Managing rent-related issues and signposting residents to financial support services
· Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with housing policies
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can build trust, communicate confidently, and manage a varied workload.
You'll ideally have:
· Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Tenancy Officer, Neighbourhood Officer or within social housing
· Knowledge of tenancy management and housing legislation
· Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement
· Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
· Strong organisational and case management abilities
· Confidence working independently across a designated patch
· A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
A CIH qualification is desirable but not essential—experience and the right attitude are just as important.
