Experienced Social Worker – Safeguarding & Legal Team – Conwy

£29.22 PAYE | £38.28 Umbrella
Hybrid Working – 2 days remote / 3 days office (post-training)
Temporary assignment – approx. 12 weeks (with potential extension)
37 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Hoop Social Work are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join a busy Safeguarding & Legal Team within Children, Families and Safeguarding Services in Conwy.

This is a great opportunity to work within a specialist team supporting children and families where there are concerns around unmet needs and/or risk of significant harm.

About the role:
You will deliver a high-quality social work service to children and families, ensuring that safeguarding remains central to all decision-making while promoting resilience, independence, and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
✔ Undertake safeguarding assessments and interventions
✔ Work with children and families subject to child protection concerns
✔ Contribute to legal planning and court-related processes
✔ Ensure children and families remain central to decision-making
✔ Promote strengths-based practice and family resilience
✔ Work collaboratively within a multi-agency safeguarding framework

Requirements:
✔ Qualified Social Worker (minimum 3 years post-qualified experience)
✔ Registered with Social Care Wales
✔ Previous court experience essential
✔ Strong safeguarding practice background
✔ Excellent communication, team working, and interpersonal skills
✔ Confident use of IT systems and case management software

Additional Information:
Candidates should live locally or within a commutable distance to Colwyn Bay. Full office presence (5 days per week) is required during training, with hybrid working available thereafter.
