Hoop Social Work are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and innovative Team Manager to lead a Family Support Team within Children’s Services in Wrexham.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families and supporting a high-performing social work team.

The Family Support Team (FST) works with children and families open to Children’s Social Care and holds responsibility for:

🔹 Care and Support Plans
🔹 Robust family support to improve outcomes for children
🔹 Management of Child Protection Plans
🔹 Public Law Outline (PLO) processes
🔹 Progression of cases through to first court hearing

We are looking for a confident and dynamic manager who can lead a team of:
✔ 15 Social Workers
✔ 3 Social Care Assessors
✔ 3 Assistant Team Managers

Key responsibilities include:
✔ Leading and developing a large operational team
✔ Ensuring high-quality safeguarding practice and decision-making
✔ Driving performance, innovation, and service improvement
✔ Supporting staff development and reflective practice
✔ Ensuring effective management of complex safeguarding and court work
✔ Working collaboratively with partner agencies
