Hoop Social Work are proud to be working in partnership with Bridgend County Borough Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their well-established Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) / Information, Advice & Assistance (IAA) Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who enjoys working in a fast-paced safeguarding environment, making timely decisions and working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children and families receive the right support at the right time.

The Role

As a Senior Social Worker within the MASH / IAA Team, you will play a key role in screening referrals, assessing risk, sharing information with partner agencies and making informed decisions that safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

This is a hybrid working role, offering a healthy balance between office-based collaboration and home working.

To be considered, you must have:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)

  • Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England

  • A minimum of 6 months' UK experience working as a registered Social Worker

  • Experience working within MASH, Front Door, IAA or safeguarding services

  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

  • The ability to provide 3 years of references

  • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle

Why register with Hoop Social Work?

  • Over 20 years' experience specialising in Social Work recruitment

  • Local specialist consultants based in Cardiff

  • Exclusive vacancies with Local Authorities across South Wales, West Wales and South West England

  • Early access to new opportunities before they're widely advertised

  • PAYE or Umbrella payroll options to suit your preference

  • Twice-weekly payroll

  • A dedicated consultant supporting you throughout your assignment

  • Welsh-speaking consultants available

  • £200 referral bonus for successful recommendations

  • Wellbeing initiatives and birthday gifts

  • Full compliance and DBS support

Please note: Due to the nature of this position, we can only consider applicants who hold a recognised Social Work qualification and are registered with Social Care Wales or Social Work England. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available for this role.
