Pay rate in line with the pledge - up to £42 Umbrella / £33.40 PAYE

The team is based adjacent to the town's train station, with easy links to Bath in under 30 minutes and approximately 2 hours to London. Free, priority parking is available on site. A hybrid working model is also on offer, with flexibility to work from home or across the county.
About the Team
The West Support and Safeguarding Service works with children, young people, and their families from early help through to permanence. The team benefits from a permanent management structure headed by a Team Manager, supported by Assistant Team Managers who provide direct monthly supervision — reflective, open, and strengths-based.
Multi-disciplinary team support is available, including key workers who will co-work cases alongside the lead social worker, plus dedicated Business Support. Practitioners also have access to a wider wellbeing service, including a brand-new support offer designed to reduce the risk of secondary trauma. Through a teaching partnership with Bath University, there are opportunities for teaching, masterclasses, and more.
About the Role
Our client operates a 'one journey' model, meaning the successful candidate will follow the child from the front door through to permanence where required. They are looking for an experienced Social Worker with a background in referral and assessment casework, leading on Child in Need and Child Protection plans, and supporting legal processes where needed.
The successful candidate will benefit from a protected caseload managed through a case weighting tool, and will have the flexibility of hybrid working.

- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
