- Internal Quality Assurer
Hoop PS&HR are proud to be working closely with a forward thinking and employee focused organisation who are currently looking for an Internal Quality Assurer to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. This position is based in Cardiff and comes with a salary of up to £33,000.
The best person for this position is an individual who can lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated team of Assessors, helping them to provide outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment across all programmes. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that the learning experience for every individual is of the highest standard.

- Motivate, support, and develop Assessors to ensure learners have a positive experience and consistently achieve their goals.
- Oversee the development of the team to continually improve the quality of delivery across all learning programmes.
- Take ownership of sampling and verification activities, ensuring a consistent and high standard of learner progression and achievement.
- Organise and manage ongoing standardisation meetings to promote best practices across the team.
- Oversee delivery models and resources, ensuring a standardised and consistent approach to learning delivery.
- Support Assessors in embedding important themes such as Safeguarding, Prevent, ESDGC, Welsh Language and Culture, Equality & Diversity, and Health & Safety/Well-being.
- Carry out regular sampling of Assessor activity, ensuring consistency and that all portfolios are accounted for and meet standards.
- Ensure sampling activities are completed within set timescales and all portfolio assessments are up to date.
- Write clear, detailed reports that highlight areas for improvement and help enhance overall performance.
- Support the professional development of all staff, ensuring they stay updated in their sector through self-study, research, and maintaining CPD logs/records.
- Assist in the development of new qualifications and support the approval process when required.
- Oversee the development of resources and learning materials that support a wide range of vocational and learning needs.
- Assessor and IQA qualification, with relevant occupational competence.
- Proven experience in delivering training and providing support to learners.
- Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
- A track record of successfully leading a team of IQAs, demonstrating your ability to motivate and develop others.
- Strong IT and Communication Skills.
- Fluent Welsh Speaker (desirable)
- A solid understanding of safeguarding practices and the Prevent duty.
- A genuine passion for learning, development, and fostering growth.
- Willing to travel to meet the needs of the role and to visit learners or clients.
