Limited/Umbrella: £38.00 per hour
Hoop Social Work are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Somerset Council's Assessment Team based in Bridgwater.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, child-focused team working within the Sedgemoor locality, completing high-quality assessments and safeguarding work to help achieve the best outcomes for children and their families.

Hybrid working – generally 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

During duty week, attendance in the office will be required 5 days per week
Key Responsibilities
-
Complete high-quality, child-centred assessments of need and risk.

Manage a varied caseload of children and families within Child Protection and Safeguarding.

Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families using strengths-based and trauma-informed practice.

Develop and review outcome-focused care plans that reflect the child's voice.

Undertake statutory visits, assessments and reviews in line with legislation and best practice.

Prepare clear, evidence-based reports and assessments for managers, partner agencies and court proceedings where required.

Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and improve outcomes.

Maintain accurate case records and contribute to quality assurance and service improvement.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold:

A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered Social Worker

A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)

Current registration with Social Work England

Experience working within Children's Safeguarding and Child Protection services

An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

The ability to provide 3 years of referencing

A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
