Child Protection Chair Somerset

Child Protection Conference Chair (ISRO) | Taunton | £44 per hour 

Are you an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) or Child Protection Conference Chair looking for your next contract?

We're working with Somerset Council who are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their team on an initial 4-month contract, offering £44 per hour.

The Role

You'll play a vital role in safeguarding children by:

• Chairing Child Protection Conferences and Children Looked After Reviews.

• Providing independent oversight, challenge and quality assurance to care planning.

• Ensuring children's plans are safe, effective and outcome-focused.

• Working collaboratively with social workers and multi-agency partners including Health, Education, Police and CAFCASS.

• Promoting best practice and driving continuous improvement across Children's Services.

What You'll Need

To apply for this role, you'll need:

• A minimum of 6 months' UK experience working as a registered Social Worker.

• A recognised Social Work qualification.

• Current Social Work England registration.

• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.

• Three years' referencing.

• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
