Description

Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for person centred care? Do you want to work in a setting where the highest standards of care are delivered?
 
Hoop Nursing have a rare opportunity for a dedicated, experienced and passionate nurse who is looking to step up to a new, exciting role. The home is skilled in providing mental health-related care provision, offering tailored support for adults with dementia and for those with a learning disability. Ideally, you will have acting manager experience and will be able to demonstrate strong management and leadership skills alongside exceptional communication skills.
 
You will be expected to lead by example at all times, ensuring that the home remains compliant with all current legislation, and be able communicate sensitive information to Elders and their relatives with empathy and reassurance.
 
Responsibilities:
  • To act as a lead Clinical Practitioner with expert knowledge of advanced nursing skills and clinical decision making within the nursing home.
  • Leading and developing specialist nursing care policies and procedures to aid the elderly and their families.
  • Ensuring clinically effective practice through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical work carried out by yourself and other team members.
  • Have a working knowledge of Safeguarding policy and procedures, ensuring that individuals at risk are identified.
  • To ensure that yourself and team maintain accurate manual and electronic records throughout all aspects of care provision to promote continuity and partnership, in line with policies, NMC record keeping guidelines and CSSIW Regulations.
 
 
Essential requirements:
  • Strong leadership & management experience within a health or care environment (ideally with an interest in care for the elderly delivering palliative care).
  • Must be RGN/RMN registered Nurse with current PIN.
  • Development of own knowledge, skills, competency and experience through reflective practice, clinical practice and continuing education, professional developments and networking, which will benefit service delivery - willingness to attain the Registered Managers award.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective work relationships.
