Social Work Assistant - Adults with Learning Disabilities

Social Work assistants are required to join Cardiff Community Learning Disabilities Team for adults on an initial 3 month contract with potential to extend, for 37 hours per week. This role is offering 12.50 PAYE per hour, or £15.58 as an umbrella company worker.

In this position you will review service users who have current packages of care, offer support to Social Workers and undertake non-complex assessments. You will have a working knowledge of strength based practice and outcome focussed care planning.

These posts require motivated individuals who can offer good communication skills and a flexible approach to meet the demands of a busy team. These are excellent opportunities for the right people to build a solid career base in social care and contribute to our commitment to the provision of a quality service to people with a learning disability and their carers.

To apply for this role experience of working within adults services at a support worker level or above is essential. Experience of working with clients with a learning disability would be an advantage. As you will be required to visit across the borough, a car driver is also essential.
