Qualified Social Worker - Intake and Assessment - Childrens Services
Llanelli, Carmarthenshire
Pay rate £30.50 PAYE / £38.43 Umbrella
A Qualified Social Worker is required to join Carmarthenshire's intake and assessment team within childrens services for an initial 3 month contract whilst permanent recruitment is undertaken. This role offers hybrid working - home and office based. Pay rate for this role is in line with the All Wales Pledge.
In this team you will be responsible for processing a variety of enquiries from requests for information and services to concerns about the welfare or safety of a young person between the ages of 0 – 18 years, including unborn children. You will act as the first point of contact for the public and professionals who are making referrals with concerns for children who are at risk of significant harm or who are children in need. Typically you will only work with children and young people on a short term basis up to 12 weeks after the initial referral. You will be required to signpost cases to other teams following the conclusion of an assessment or at a conference or review if they are in need of longer term support from a social worker.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold -
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
