Enquiry & Assessment Team Social Worker (East)

Rhondda Cynon Taff

up to £40 per hour dependent upon experience

Qualified Social Workers are required to join Rhondda Cynon Taff's Childrens Services' Enquiry and Assessment Team covering the East of the County. Contracts are ongoing and will offer a mix of working from home and from Rhondda Principal Office in Tonypandy. Pay rates for these roles are paid in line with the All Wales Pledge.

Duties and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Undertaking wellbeing and Section 47 assessments
  • Providing short term interventions to support families to increase safety within the home
  • Caseholding for a short period of time (long term work is generally transferred at the first planning meeting)
  • Duty rota
  • Care and private law proceedings

Requirements:

  • Experience of assessments, care planning, person centered planning and care management skills
  • Ability to work professionally with all partners
  • Relevant social work qualification
  • Registration with the Social Care Wales
  • Car driver with access to a car and business insurance
  • Good team player
  • Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or happy to apply
  • 3 years of referencing undertaken
