Description
Senior Family Solicitor/Legal Executive

A prominent high street specialist legal practice is seeking a Senior Family Solicitor/Legal Executive to contribute to the expansion of its legal services. The firm's main office, located on the fringe of the Cotswolds, aims to offer family law advice to private paying clients and is in need of an experienced family law solicitor or legal executive to lead the establishment and management of the new department.
The selected candidate will be expected to work autonomously, with the support of a legal assistant or paralegal. There is no requirement to take over an existing caseload, and the individual will receive dedicated time and assistance to develop their own caseload. The role's scope is adaptable, and the firm is open to tailoring responsibilities to suit the ideal candidate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Undertake the role of a family law solicitor.
  • Engage in fee-earning family work.
  • Collaborate with the Partner on business development plans and marketing strategies to expand the function, attract new clients, and build the client database.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards in all processes and practices.
  • The role is not limited to the listed duties, and the incumbent may be assigned tasks within the scope of the position.
The Role

This opportunity is suitable for a current Head of Family Law or an ambitious solicitor seeking progression. The focus of the role includes:
  • Divorce
  • Cohabitation
  • TOLATA claims
  • Children - living arrangement and other issues
  • Children - financial provision
  • Financial Claims and settlements
  • Asset/Wealth protection
  • Domestic abuse
  • Injunctions
This role presents a unique opportunity for individuals eager to advance their career by taking a significant step in establishing and cultivating a department from inception. Ideal for those seeking autonomy and a chance to shape their professional journey, this position allows individuals to build a family law department from scratch, contributing to its growth and success. Moreover, it caters to those who may be looking to transition away from a corporate environment, offering a more specialized and hands-on experience in a high street practice.  You will ideally have 5+ years PQE although less will be considered for those who had a strong background in family law before qualification.

Benefits include but are not limited to:
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Up to 10% employer pension contribution
  • 25 days’ plus bank holidays annual leave
  • Work from home by arrangement
If you are keen to apply for this role or to discuss in more detail, please contact Stevie Davidson at Hoop Professional Services for a confidential discussion.
