Description

We are looking for a Social Worker to work with Children in PLO for Bridgend Council. You will have a protected caseload of PLO cases, with dedicated lead management and oversight. Pay rate will be dependent upon experience.

Bridgend County Borough Council offers a great opportunity to support children to achieve stability and permanence.

You will be fully supported in the role and undertake appropriate training. In 2020 Children’s Social Care launched the Outcome Focussed Approach Social Work model which underpins all of our practice in Bridgend. All new staff will be provided with a suite of training that will support them to develop their practice in line with the principles of the model. You will receive a robust induction, regular reflective supervision as well as additional support and mentoring where required.

We are a reflective organisation that continuously builds on its strengths and is committed to the principle that the most effective way of improving outcomes for all Children, Young People and Families is through the provision of accessible, universal services. Join us and you will work in a rewarding, learning environment where staff feel valued.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

Children’s social care will have a clear purpose, realised through a culture and values inclusive and supportive to everyone within the service. We want the people we work with to feel part of the ‘family firm’. Our culture will be open and transparent, celebrating our strengths and commitment to learning and development and continuous improvement.

Our highly effective management and leadership will provide clarity, structure, excellent supervision and deliver high support and appropriate challenge.
