Hoop Social Care are looking for support workers in Cardiff to support adults with mental health disorders and learning disabilities. This opportunity involves working in a residential setting and within the community. A typical day will involve supporting social skills, i.e budgeting, shopping and assisting with recreational activities, i.e bowling, cinema and swimming. There will be some elements of personal care, but the role will be focused on promoting the independence of those you work with. There are full and part time hours available with hours being worked Monday to Sunday with occasional sleep-in shifts.

  • Adopt creative approaches to problem solving and challenging behaviour
  • Previous experience as a support worker within a care environment (desirable)
  • Able to work a shift pattern on a rolling rota
  • Flexibility with working hours - Monday to Sunday with occasional sleep shifts
  • Driving licence (essential)
  • Fantastic communication skills
