You'll be responsible for carrying out heating maintenance, servicing, repairs and minor installation works across domestic properties, ensuring systems are safe, efficient and maintained to a high standard.

  • Diagnosing and repairing plumbing and heating breakdowns.
  • Fault finding on domestic gas central heating systems.
  • Repairing and replacing radiators, valves and heating controls.
  • Undertaking minor installation works, including radiators, pipework alterations and heating components.
  • Completing all relevant certification, records and compliance documentation accurately.
  • Providing excellent customer service while working in customers' homes and occupied properties.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant health and safety requirements, policies and procedures.
What we're looking for

We're keen to hear from experienced Heating Engineers who can demonstrate:
  • Relevant industry qualifications or a completed apprenticeship.
  • Current ACS Gas Qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 and CKR1.
  • Current Gas Safe Registration.
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating, or an equivalent City & Guilds qualification.
  • Experience with OFTEC, HETAS, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) and renewable technologies.
  • At least three years' experience installing, repairing and servicing gas appliances and a range of heating systems within the private and/or social housing sectors.
  • Strong diagnostic, repair and fault-finding skills, with the ability to identify and carry out follow-on works.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with colleagues, managers and members of the public.
  • A proactive and conscientious approach, with a genuine commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately record completed work.
It would also be advantageous if you can speak and write Welsh.

A few important things to know
  • A current, valid driving licence is essential.
  • The successful candidate will be subject to a Basic Disclosure check.
  • Appropriate respiratory protective equipment (RPE) must be worn when required as part of the role.
