Kinship & Permanence Team Social Worker
Bridgend
up to £38.43 per hour Umbrella (£30.50 PAYE in line with the All Wales Pledge)
We are looking for a Qualified Social Workers to join Bridgend County Borough Councils Kinship & Permanence team on a full time basis to start ASAP. Pay rate for this position will be in line with the All Wales Pledge.
The main focus of this role will be to undertake connected persons assessments as well as to include some supervision of kinship foster carers. In addition you will be undertaking annual reviews. The team offers hybrid working arrangements, the office base is the Civic Centre, Bridgend. Previous fostering experience is essential for the role. Duty is shared with the general fostering team that are based at the same office. Duty is approximately once per month in the office for a day.
To be considered for this role you will need to have an understanding of fostering and kinship, be a registered Social Worker with either Social Care Wales or Social Work England. You will be subject to an enhanced DBS and subject to 3 years of referencing.
To apply for this role, you will need to hold -
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
