Associate Solicitor – Employment

I am looking to speak to Employment Solicitors or Legal Executives with 1-2 years’ PQE who would be keen to join a prestigious regional Legal 500 law firm.

Based in their modern and contemporary Cardiff offices, this role provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to collaborate with Partners within the team, contributing to career growth and development.

The role will see you handle a mixed and diverse caseload of employment matters whilst engaging in various team projects and business development activities, including Employment Power Hours and Interactive Seminars.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer appropriate guidance and legal advice on all aspects of employment law.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and expand the client base through planned business development.
  • Maintain competence and knowledge within the team framework by staying abreast of changes in employment law.
  • Proactively share advice and knowledge within the team and supervise junior members when required. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEx with 1-2 years’ PQE within employment law.
  • Experience in employment tribunal work and advocacy is desirable.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads, prioritise workloads, and work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and departments.
  • Confidence in presenting and working well in a team environment.
