We are looking for a support worker who is confident working in a residential home and who can provide support to individuals aged eighteen and above with learning disabilities and mental health needs, including personality disorder. We are looking for a dedicated candidate to help develop the self-confidence of the individuals within the home. Your job will involve helping these individuals with their daily tasks and providing general one to one care. Your responsibilities can involve assisting with dressing, shopping, cooking, cleaning, as well as acting as a companion. You will also be there to promote independence and will need experience in managing complex behaviours and reducing vulnerability. This is a full-time position which will require you to be flexible and able to work a range of hours. Your shifts will cover Monday through to Sunday, including days and waking nights. Applicants will need to be experienced in working with mental health needs and learning disabilities. Hoop social care are looking for support workers to work in the Barry area supporting young adults with learning disabilities within a residential setting.You will be supporting the young adults with a range of everyday needs and tasks. Hoop Social Care are looking for experienced support workers in the Newport area supporting individuals with severe learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and challenging behaviour within a hospital setting.  Your job as a support worker would be to support these individuals with a range of different tasks in order to make their lives a little easier. These can include elements of personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) along with meal preparation, support with managing finances, companionship and general support within the community.  The ideal candidate will need to be fully flexible with days and nights as your shifts could range from Monday – Sunday. We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in supporting young adults with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities. Your role will be based within an educational environment and therefore applicants must be comfortable in a classroom. Your job will revolve around providing general one to one care, as well as helping the students with their daily tasks. Your role will also be to provide support within a residential setting at times.  You will need to assist with dressing, shopping, cooking, cleaning, as well as providing companionship. You will be there to give physical, emotional and practical support in both a residential and educational setting. This is a fulltime position which will require you to be flexible and available to work a range of hours.
