Social Worker – Children & Families – Bargoed Locality Team

Hours: Full Time
Contract: Initial 3-month contract
Pay: £38.43 per hour Umbrella

Hoop Social Work is recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children & Families Bargoed Locality Team, based at Tredomen House in Hengoed.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident social worker looking for a new role within a supportive Children & Families service.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload and undertaking statutory social work with children, young people and their families.

The role will involve work across a range of areas, including:

• Child Protection and safeguarding

• Court work and care proceedings

• Looked After Children

• Child in Need work

• Assessments, planning and reviewing

• Direct work with children, young people and families

• Multi-agency working with partner professionals

• Ensuring children’s voices, wishes and feelings remain central to practice

• Producing high-quality assessments, reports and case recordings

We are looking for a social worker who is confident undertaking statutory children’s social work and can manage a busy caseload effectively.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold:

• A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered social worker

• A recognised Social Work qualification

• Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England

• An Enhanced DBS, registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one

• 3 years of referencing

• A full driving licence with access to a car
