Could you become a foster carer?

You don't need to have worked in social care to become a foster carer. People from all walks of life bring valuable skills and experiences.

You don't need to be perfect just someone with the compassion, patience and commitment to make a difference.

We're looking for people who are:

• Caring, patient and nurturing

• Great communicators with good listening skills

• Resilient, flexible and committed to helping children reach their potential

• Passionate about making a positive difference

You'll also need to:

• Have a spare bedroom available for a foster child

• Be medically fit to care for children and young people

• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle

• Be willing to undertake the fostering assessment process, including DBS, health and reference checks
