Hoop Social Work are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join Somerset Council's Assessment Team based in Yeovil.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a newly established team as part of Somerset Council's Families First Programme, helping to deliver positive outcomes for children and families through timely assessments and effective intervention.

Working Pattern:

Full-time (37 hours per week)

12-month agency contract

Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely
Your responsibilities will include:

Completing Child and Family Assessments
-
Undertaking statutory visits and direct work with children and families

Assessing risk and identifying appropriate interventions
-
Working closely with partner agencies to safeguard children

Producing high-quality assessments, reports and care plans

Managing a varied caseload while ensuring children remain at the centre of all decision-making
To apply for this role, you will need to hold:
-
A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered Social Worker

A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)

Current registration with Social Work England

An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

The ability to provide 3 years of referencing

A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
