Hoop Social Work are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) within Children's Services in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced frontline safeguarding team, acting as the first point of contact for children's social care referrals. You'll play a vital role in ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time through effective screening, risk assessment and multi-agency decision-making.

This is an initial 12-week contract, with the potential for extension, offering £38.43 per hour and a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

The Role

As part of the MASH team, you will:

• Screen and assess referrals into Children's Services.

• Complete enquiries relating to referrals via telephone.

• Undertake risk assessments and analyse safeguarding concerns.

• Liaise with partner agencies to gather relevant information.

• Participate in multi-agency discussions to support timely safeguarding decisions.

• Ensure children and families receive the most appropriate intervention at the earliest opportunity.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday

• Core hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm

To apply, you will need:

• A minimum of 6 months' UK experience working as a registered Social Worker.

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).

• Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.

• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

• The ability to provide 3 years of referencing.

• A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
