Hoop Social Work is recruiting an experienced Children's Social Worker to join North Somerset Council based in Weston-super-Mare on a full-time agency contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Children's Services team, working across a varied caseload that includes Child Protection, Children in Need, short-term Children in Care, Adoption and Permanence.

The Role

As a Children's Social Worker, you will manage a diverse caseload, undertaking assessments, developing and reviewing care plans, and working in partnership with children, families and multi-agency professionals to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing Child Protection and Children in Need cases.

• Supporting children subject to care proceedings and short-term Children in Care plans.

• Contributing to Adoption and Permanence planning to ensure children achieve stable, long-term outcomes.

• Completing statutory visits, assessments, reports and court work where required.

• Working collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner looking to make a meaningful impact within a well-established and supportive local authority.

To apply, you will need:

• A minimum of 6 months' UK experience working as a registered Social Worker.

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).

• Current registration with Social Work England.

• An Enhanced DBS, registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

• The ability to provide 3 years of employment references.

• A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
