Job Description

Children with Disabilities - Experienced Social Worker

Pay rate in line with the pledge - £42 Umbrella

Swindon Council

This post sits within the Children with Disabilities Team, co-located at the Saltway Centre alongside multi-agency partners, enabling a holistic service offer to disabled children, young people and their families.

The team operates on the basis that disabled children are statistically more likely to experience abuse than their non-disabled peers, and has been designed specifically to address this — comprising specialist, highly motivated social workers with experience across both safeguarding and disability. The team uses current research and innovative practice to ensure disabled children in Swindon are appropriately safeguarded and supported to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Social Worker with a background in both safeguarding and working with children with disabilities.
