Parent Assessor - Experienced Social Worker

Pay rate in line with the pledge - £42 Umbrella

This post is a specialist assessment role focused on completing parenting assessments, predominantly pre-birth, to inform care planning for unborn babies and ensure appropriate safeguarding and support is in place at birth. The successful candidate will work alongside the case-holding social workers for each child, providing dedicated assessment capacity rather than holding a caseload.

The right candidate will have a strong background in child protection work and experience completing comprehensive, outcome-focused parenting assessments.

Expenses
Swindon Borough Council has confirmed that a £100 weekly travel and accommodation allowance will remain in place for all new and existing agency placements within Children's Social Care until 31 August 2026. This is available to workers residing more than 50 miles from Swindon.

• A relevant Social Work Qualification
• Registration with Social Care Wales
• Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
• 3 Years of referencing
• Driving license with access to a car
