No two days will be the same. One moment you could be welcoming an important client or preparing for a meeting; the next, you might be coordinating an office event, supporting a new starter or resolving a facilities issue.
This is an excellent temporary opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day workplace experience and make an immediate impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
- Creating a warm and professional welcome for clients, visitors and contractors.
- Acting as the main point of contact for office queries and requests.
- Delivering a polished reception and front-of-house service.
- Managing meeting rooms, desk bookings and parking arrangements where applicable.
- Preparing rooms for meetings, including audiovisual equipment, video conferencing and refreshments.
- Coordinating office events, catering and room bookings.
- Logging and following up facilities and helpdesk requests.
- Liaising with contractors, cleaning teams, facilities providers and maintenance engineers.
- Supporting new starters with equipment, inductions and office tours.
- Providing basic on-site IT support, including setting up desks and docking stations.
- Managing post, couriers, deliveries, kitchen supplies and shared office areas.
- Recording purchases and processing invoices using cloud-based accounting software.
- Maintaining accurate records across company systems and databases.
- Supporting office security, health and safety, and compliance activities.
- Keeping First Aider, Fire Warden and other essential workplace information up to date.
- Supporting wider office projects and completing additional duties when required.
- Previous experience in office management, workplace coordination, facilities, reception, administration, hospitality or a similar role.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do approach.
- A confident, professional and approachable manner.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the initiative to improve processes.
- First Aid certification would be beneficial, together with a willingness to act as a Fire Marshal.
- Availability to begin a temporary assignment at short notice would be an advantage.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a varied temporary position in a well-connected central London location, where you can make an immediate and valued contribution.
You’ll broaden your experience across office management, client service, facilities, events, administration and workplace operations while becoming the trusted person colleagues can rely on.
