Job Description

HR Administrator

Hoop Professional Services & HR are thrilled to be supporting a well-established organisation to find a fantastic administrator to join their People Team. If you're a strong administrator who is interested in HR and is looking to take that first step into the field, this could be the perfect opportunity!

Based in Cardiff with the flexibility of hybrid working, this is a two-month fixed-term contract with the potential to extend. The role offers a salary of up to £27,500 and the chance to get hands-on experience supporting a busy, people focused team. It's a varied, rewarding position where no two days are the same, perfect for someone who’s organised, enthusiastic, and ready to get stuck in.

We are looking for someone who is immediately available and can hit the ground running!

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting recruitment processes running smoothly by organising interviews, communicating with candidates, preparing paperwork, and supporting the onboarding of new starters.
  • Meeting and training coordination, you’ll take the lead on organising internal meetings and staff training sessions.
  • Being the first point of contact and monitoring of the shared inbox, answering all queries and minute taking.
  • Updating the HR system, supporting with compliance, and keeping track of files. Ensuring all information is accurate, up-to-date, and well-organised.
  • Document and report preparation of meeting papers, pulling together reports, and making sure everything is formatted.
  • Supporting internal communications and events.
  • Raise purchase orders, process invoices, and help with supplier setup and tracking.
Requirements:

  • Proven administrative experience with the ability to manage multiple tasks, stay on top of deadlines, and keep everything running smoothly.
  • A great eye for detail and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
  • A strong interest in HR and people-focused work, this is a brilliant stepping stone if you're looking to build your experience in HR, with lots of opportunity to learn and get involved in meaningful work.
  • Organised, you know how to prioritise, multitask, and adapt when plans change.
If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you’ve been looking for, and you're ready to jump in and make a difference, I’d love to hear from you! This is a great chance to build your experience in HR and governance while working with a genuinely supportive team.

I will be shortlisting candidates on the 10th of June, so if you’re immediately available and think this role could be a good fit, don’t wait too long to get in touch.

For more information or to apply, please reach out to Lucy Woodrow. I’ll be happy to talk you through the role and answer any questions.
