Employment Support Coordinator
Hoop Professional Services and HR are proud to be supporting an incredible not for profit organisation that are actively looking for an Employment Support Coordinator to join their team for the next 3 months.
This is a hands-on, community-based position where you will support individuals from various backgrounds, such as school leavers and those who are looking to step back into work develop their skills further and provide them with support during their employment search. This position is a full time, 3-month fixed term contract that comes with a salary of up to £31,500 that also offers hybrid working and will be based in Merthyr Tydfil.
You’ll play a key role in providing one-to-one support in areas such as CV writing, interview preparation, and skills development. You will also manage referrals, coordinate placements and volunteering, and collaborate with different teams.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day employment support services for individuals looking to enter or re-enter the workforce.
- Manage referrals from internal departments and act as a central point of contact for the community.
- Deliver tailored support in areas such as CV writing, interview skills, and job or volunteer placement opportunities.
- Organize and lead employability initiatives such as skills workshops, summer maximization programs, and voluntary shadowing experiences.
- Work closely with youth services, apprentices, and internal teams to support life skills and work-readiness development.
- Maintain accurate records and manage a varied caseload efficiently within a hybrid working model.
- Able to start as soon as possible.
- Background in employability, community engagement, or similar support roles.
- Experience managing referrals and working one-on-one with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong skills in delivering practical support (CVs, interview prep, placement coordination).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and person-centred approach.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments and partner networks.
