Location: Cardiff (Head Office) – with regional travel across South Wales
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm We’re looking for a Trainee Assessor to join a supportive, employee-owned organisation and guide apprenticeship learners on their journey to recognised qualifications. You’ll bring real-world Health & Social Care experience and a passion for developing others—we’ll provide all the training you need to become a fully qualified assessor.

You’ll bring real-world Health & Social Care experience and a passion for developing others—we’ll provide all the training you need to become a fully qualified assessor.
What you’ll be doing
- Support learners through every stage of their apprenticeship, tailoring learning plans to individual needs
- Visit workplaces across South Wales to carry out assessments and provide one-to-one coaching
- Record and evaluate evidence of progress to meet awarding body requirements
- Keep accurate records of learner attendance and guided contact hours to meet audit standards
- Plan and deliver day-release training sessions where needed
- Track and support learners to achieve key milestones and performance targets
- Proven occupational experience and technical competence in Health & Social Care
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to undertake a company-funded DBS check and register with the EWC
- Welsh language skills
- Training experience or a recognised assessing qualification (A1 Assessor Award, TAQA, CAVA, or equivalent)
