Planned Maintenance Surveyor – Contract Opportunities
South Wales | 6–9 Month Contracts | £25-£30ph
Hoop Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Planned Maintenance Surveyors to support Housing Association clients across South Wales on interim contract assignments.
These contracts typically run for 6–9 months, offering competitive rates, weekly pay, and the possibility of securing a permanent position upon completion.
The Role
Working within social housing environments, you will be responsible for delivering planned maintenance and capital investment programmes across residential housing stock. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake property surveys and stock condition assessments.
- Prepare specifications, schedules of works, and cost estimates.
- Manage planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes.
- Monitor contractor performance and project delivery on site.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure works meet required standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant legislation.
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Support programme reporting, budget monitoring, and contract administration.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Surveyor within social housing, housing associations, or local authority environments.
- Strong knowledge of planned maintenance and capital works programmes.
- Experience managing contractors and undertaking site inspections.
- Understanding of building construction, repairs, maintenance, and relevant housing legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
