We’re looking for a Fire Safety Team Leader to take the lead in delivering a high-quality fire safety compliance service across a large housing portfolio.
This is more than a compliance role — you’ll be helping to create safer homes and stronger communities while leading a talented team of fire safety professionals.
What you’ll be doing
🔥 Lead a team of Fire Safety Technicians and Electrical Engineers
🔥 Oversee fire risk assessment programmes and remedial actions
🔥 Manage fire door, emergency lighting, detection and alarm inspection programmes
🔥 Lead contractors, consultants and fire safety projects
🔥 Monitor compliance, performance and reporting
🔥 Manage an annual budget of around £600k
🔥 Support the development of fire safety strategies, policies and procedures
🔥 Deputise for the Fire Safety Manager when required
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring strong experience in fire safety, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to influence colleagues, contractors and stakeholders.
You’ll ideally have experience of:
- Reviewing fire risk assessments and managing remedial actions
- Working within social housing or a similar environment
- Applying the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Managing teams, projects and competing priorities
- Producing accurate management information and reports
A relevant fire safety qualification — such as NEBOSH Fire Safety, HNC/HND Fire Safety Engineering or Level 4 Fire Safety Risk Assessment/Auditing — or equivalent experience is required.
🚗 Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance essential.
