Are you a caring, patient, and supportive person looking to make a real difference in education?
We’re looking for individuals interested in 1:1 ALN support opportunities across schools in Newtown and the surrounding Powys area.
As a 1:1 support worker, you’ll provide individual support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), helping them engage with their learning, build confidence and get the most out of their school day.
The role can involve:
• Providing dedicated 1:1 support to pupils
• Supporting learning and classroom activities
• Helping pupils with engagement, confidence and wellbeing
• Working alongside teachers and school staff
• Creating a positive, patient and encouraging environment

Previous experience within a school isn’t always essential. Experience in care, support work, childcare, coaching or working with children or young people can provide great transferable skills.
