The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll support schools when teachers are absent by supervising classes and delivering the work provided by the teacher.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged with their work
- Following lesson plans and school procedures
- Supporting pupils with their learning where appropriate
- Working across different subjects and year groups
- Following school safeguarding policies
You don't need to be a qualified teacher for this role. We're looking for people who are confident, adaptable and enjoy working with young people.
What You'll Need
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A positive and reliable approach
- EWC registration, or willingness to register
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
- Welsh speakers are welcome but not essential
