Homelessness: our cause of the year
This year, we're taking a different approach to our charitable giving by supporting a cause rather than a single charity, allowing us to make a greater impact across multiple organisations.
We've chosen Homelessness as our Cause of the Year.
It’s a challenge that affects communities across Wales (and the UK) and one where our skills and expertise can make a meaningful difference. By partnering with a range of charities, we'll provide practical support through CV writing, interview preparation, and confidence-building sessions to help people move closer to employment and independence.
Empowering individual impact through volunteer days
At Hoop, we believe in empowering our team to make a difference, not only collectively but also as individuals. To support this, every employee receives a paid volunteer day each year to dedicate to a cause close to their heart. This initiative allows our team to contribute to meaningful work in our local communities, from volunteering at Cardiff Dogs Home, where they’ve spent time caring for and walking rescue dogs, to supporting sustainable projects at Re:Make Newport, which promotes upcycling and environmental awareness.
Supporting causes close to our heart
We also continue to support other meaningful causes that resonate with our values. Recently, some of our dedicated team members ran the Cardiff Half Marathon, raising funds for YMCA Cardiff. In addition, we’ve dedicated significant resources to Latch, the Welsh Children's Cancer Charity, organising numerous fundraising events which brought our candidates and employees together for a worthy cause.
