Job Description

Young Persons Advisor - Leaving Care

Swansea

Pay rate £15 per hour PAYE (to be confirmed inline with permanent employees)

Holiday pay paid on top

Are you passionate about helping young people make a positive start to adult life? We’re looking for a Personal Advisor to join a dedicated team supporting care leavers as they take those next important steps into independence.

As a PA, you’ll be that consistent, go-to person providing guidance, encouragement and practical support. You’ll understand the ups and downs of the transition from care to adulthood and bring empathy, patience and resilience to the role.

This role is offering an initial 3 month contract, based in Info-Nation on the Kingsway in Swansea.

We’re keen to speak with people who:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience with children / teenagers or care leavers
  • Have a solid understanding of young people’s developmental and emotional needs
  • Can recognise and respond to the insecurities faced by care leavers
  • Have knowledge of housing, homelessness, and the legal frameworks surrounding care leavers
  • Can offer practical advice and emotional support to help young people achieve their goals
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car

If you’re someone who genuinely cares about making a difference — and can build trusting relationships that last — we’d love to chat!

Benefits of working for Hoop:

  • 20 years’ plus experience of working with Social Services
  • Your local agency based in Cardiff
  • Welsh-speaking consultant available should you wish to converse in Welsh throughout your job search
  • PAYE and Umbrella payroll options available – you choose!
  • Dedicated point of contact (support team to cover whilst on leave)
  • Twice weekly payroll
  • Actively supplying every Local Authority in South/West Wales and South West England
  • Refer a friend scheme available
  • Wellbeing sessions

Given the nature of the role, only applications from individuals with relevant experience will be contacted. No sponsorship provided. Please only apply if you meet this criteria.
