Support and Safeguarding Social Worker Childrens Services

Chippenham, Wiltshire

Pay rate £34.92 Umbrella

 

Hoop Social Work Recruitment is delighted to be supporting Wiltshire Council in the recruitment of an experienced Social Worker to join their North Support and Safeguarding Service.

About the Team

The North Support and Safeguarding Service works with children, young people, and their families from Early Help through to permanence, providing continuity and relationship-based practice.

The team benefits from:

-A permanent and experienced management structure

-A Team Manager supported by Assistant Team Managers, offering:

-Regular, high-quality monthly supervision

-A reflective, strengths-based and open supervisory approach

-A multi-disciplinary team, including Key Workers who co-work cases alongside the Social Worker

-Dedicated Practitioner Support, assisting with:

-Minute-taking for CIN and Core Group meetings

-Access to a wider wellbeing support service, including a newly introduced offer aimed at reducing secondary trauma

-Strong teaching partnerships with Bournemouth University, providing opportunities for: Teaching, Masterclasses, Continued professional development

This role operates within a ‘One Journey’ model, enabling Social Workers to remain with a child from the front door through to permanence where required.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
  • Hold front line childrens safeguarding experience
  • Lead on Child in Need and Child Protection plans
  • Contribute to legal processes when required to secure permanence
  • Benefit from a protected caseload, supported by a case-weighting tool
  • Work flexibly within the council’s hybrid working model
