Social Worker – Fostering

Location: Cardiff (Hybrid working)
Salary: £35,000 – £47,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Full-time, Permanent

The IFA provides high-quality foster placements and bespoke packages of care for looked after children, with child-centred decision-making at the heart of everything they do. About the role

You will be responsible for:

• Undertaking direct work with children to ensure their wishes and feelings inform care planning

• Support and supervise foster carers, empowering them to provide stable and nurturing placements

• Contribute to the recruitment and assessment of foster parents

• Work collaboratively as part of a close-knit, supportive team

• Demonstrate forward planning, flexibility, and calm decision-making in complex situations

What our client is looking for:

• A qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Care Wales

• Strong people skills, with the ability to motivate and empower foster carers

• Confidence to work on your own initiative while valuing supervision and teamwork

• A child-focused, reflective, and flexible approach to practice

What’s on offer:

• £35,000 – £47,000 per annum, depending on experience

• 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays

• Hybrid working (based from the Cardiff office with flexibility for home working)
