Qualified Social Worker - Leaving Care
Swansea
up to £38.43 per hour Umbrella company in line with ADSS pledge
A Qualified Social Worker is required to join the Leaving Care Team at Swansea County Council. This contract will initially run for 3 months months but likely to extend beyond this period. It is covering a permanent position that they are looking to appoint to.Pay rate for this role is £30.50 PAYE / £38.43 Umbrella in line with the All Wales Pledge. This position offers hybrid working 3 days per week from an office on the Kingsway in Swansea. The rest of the week will be home-based. This is a full time 37 hour a week position.
The Bays project 16 + team are looking to achieve the best long-term outcomes for the young people they work with.The team strives to support young people making their transition into adulthood an easier and more manageable experience. The team support 16-21 year old who have an allocated Social Worker and Personal Advisor and supported as looked after children adhering to procedures. At 18, the Social Worker is no longer allocated and the Personal Advisor is the primary worker. Role is mainly to review Pathway Plans and develop and implement care plans working with key partners and supporting the transition into adulthood. Support mainly focuses on independence skills, housing, finances and budgeting support, education and employment, health and well-being and relationships.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
