Cardiff Council is recruiting experienced Child Protection Social Workers to join its dynamic and community-focused teams.

Role Overview:
Social workers will support children and young people through robust assessment, outcome-focused planning, and effective interventions. Working in partnership with families and multi-agency colleagues, they address both presenting concerns and underlying challenges within a restorative practice framework.
Candidate Requirements:

Front-line post-qualifying experience in child protection services
-
Strong safeguarding and child protection expertise, confident with court proceedings

Social Work degree, with excellent assessment, report-writing, and record-keeping skills
-
Ability to work under pressure with flexibility, resilience, strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
Career Progression:
Applications may also be considered for Grade 7 Social Worker positions, depending on skills and experience.
