Pay rate up to £38.43 per hour dependent upon experience

A locum opportunity has arisen within Monmouthshire Social Services' Family Support and Protection Team covering the North of the County - Usk, Monmouthshire and Abergavenny. This is fantastic opportunity to join a high performing Local Authority offering a friendly and supportive team environment with an excellent Team Manager. This position is primarily based at Usk but home working is encouraged. Contract will run for an initial 3 month contract. Pay rate is up to £38.43 per hour umbrella company subject to experience in this arena.

- You will be required to complete assessments and progress plans that evidence an improvement in the welfare of children and young people within a time frame that is appropriate for the child/young person. In cases
- Responsible for preparation of written evidence and the progression of the case to legal proceedings
- Your case load will consist of cases that require a high level of statutory intervention including Child Protection, Private and Public law cases
- Responsible for adoption orders where required
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
