Job Description

Childrens Looked After Social Worker

Swansea

Full Time

up to £38.43 per hour umbrella company in line with ADSS pledge

A Qualified Social Worker is required to join Swansea Social Services CLA team. This contract will initially run for 3 months initially and is for 5 days a week ideally and will cover a vacant post. Office days are currently Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays at Guildhall in Swansea. Pay rate for this position is up £30.50 PAYE / £38.43 as per the All Wales Pledge.

To apply for this role:

- Must have recent Local Authority working experience in a Looked After Children / Children in Care team or similar
- Must have extensive experience in Children's Social Work and demonstrate periods of long post holding
- Must be able to commit to full time hours
- Available to start a new role ASAP
- Must be fully capable to hit the ground running, we are not able to provide training to people interested in moving into the LAC environment, they must already possess experience in this area.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

  • A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • A relevant Social Work Qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 Years of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
