Children in Care - Social Worker

Pay rate - £42 per hour Umbrella

Bristol City Council 

Up to two days a week from home. Rest of the time needs to be in office. This will also be with manager discretion as there maybe weeks where you will need to work more days in office.

The children in care service supports children between the ages of 0-18 who are in the long term care of the local authority. We act as corporate parent to the children and often work with a wide range of networks and families. The typical fulltime social worker will manage a workload of up to 18 children and be supported within one of 6 teams consisting of a team manager, 5 social workers, a CSCA (business support) and 2 family support workers. Your role will be to work with and care plan for the children you are allocated to support.  We are a warm and friendly service with a great work culture.

To apply for this role, you will need to hold -

• A relevant Social Work Qualification
• Registration with Social Care Wales
• Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
• 3 Years of referencing
• Driving license with access to a car
