Salary: £36,363 – £40,777 + £3,000 Market Supplement (reviewed annually)

We are delighted to be supporting Pembrokeshire County Council in the recruitment of a permanent Qualified Social Worker to join their Childcare Assessment Team within Children’s Services.

About the Role

As part of the Intake and Assessment Team, you will be the first point of contact for new referrals concerning children and young people aged 0–18 (including unborn children).

You will:

• Manage and assess a wide range of referrals, from requests for information to safeguarding concerns
• Work with children who may be at risk of significant harm or identified as children in need
• Complete short-term work (typically up to 12 weeks) following initial referrals
• Make informed decisions and signpost cases to relevant teams for longer-term intervention where required

About You

To be considered, you will need:

• A recognised Social Work qualification
• Registration with Social Care Wales
• An enhanced DBS (on the update service or willingness to obtain one)
• A minimum of 3 years’ referencing history
