Umbrella/Limited: £37.14 per hour

Hybrid Working – 2 days remote | 3 days office-based

Hoop Social Work is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Assessment Team in the South of Powys (please note – despite what some paperwork may say, this role sits in the South!).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a practitioner who enjoys frontline assessment work, making timely decisions and working directly with children and families at the point of referral.

The Role

As part of the Assessment Team, you will:

• Undertake statutory assessments

• Complete Section 47 enquiries where required

• Carry out Child and Family Assessments

• Make clear, defensible threshold decisions

• Work collaboratively with partner agencies

• Produce high-quality, analytical reports

This is a busy but supportive team, offering a hybrid working pattern of 2 days remote and 3 days office-based at Ty Brycheiniog, Brecon Enterprise Park.

⚠️ Please note: Powys is rural and does not have regular public transport links. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.

To Apply, You’ll Need:

• Minimum 6 months’ UK experience as a registered Social Worker

• A recognised Social Work qualification

• Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England

• Enhanced DBS (Update Service or willing to apply)

• 3 years of referencing

• Full driving licence and access to a car
