Hoop Recruitment is delighted to be supporting Bristol City Council with the recruitment of an experienced Safeguarding Adults Social Worker to join their busy and well-established Safeguarding Adults Team on an agency basis.

This is a fast-paced, high-demand service responding to safeguarding concerns across the city. The successful candidate will be confident managing complexity, working to tight timescales, and making sound, defensible professional decisions in line with legislation and best practice.

The Role

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Leading and contributing to multi-agency meetings, ensuring effective information sharing and proportionate responses

  • Producing high-quality, timely recording with clear professional rationale

  • Working directly with adults to understand risk, wishes and desired outcomes

  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with health, police, housing and community partners

  • A blend of office-based work, home working, and community visits where required

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate:

  • Strong, recent safeguarding adults experience – the team requires someone who can hit the ground running

  • A confident working knowledge of relevant legislation, thresholds and safeguarding principles

  • The ability to manage a high-volume, fast-moving caseload

  • Resilience, strong organisation skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Confidence working within multi-agency environments

  • Ability to be based in or near Bristol and attend City Hall (BS1 5TR) as required

The Team & Environment

You’ll be joining a highly experienced, supportive and collaborative safeguarding team. The service is dynamic and responsive to demand, making this an excellent opportunity for a social worker who thrives in a challenging, specialist safeguarding setting and wants to make a meaningful impact.
