Community Mental Health Team Social Worker

Bridgend
£35.32 Umbrella
Initial contract 3 months
37 hours per week | Hybrid Working

Bridgend County Borough Council is looking to appoint an experienced Social Worker to join their Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) within Adult Services on an initial temporary contract for an initial 3 month period, with the potential for extension.

This is a full-time position ideally (37 hours per week) offering a blend of office-based working, home visits, hospital visits, and community-based assessments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting adults experiencing mental health challenges, undertaking statutory social work duties and working closely with multidisciplinary partners.

Previous mental health experience is essential, including report writing, care planning, and attending Mental Health Tribunals where required. Knowledge of WCCIS would be advantageous, enabling you to hit the ground running within a busy and supportive team.

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered Social Worker
  • A recognised Social Work qualification
  • Registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England
  • Experience working within Adult Mental Health services
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
  • A minimum of 3 years' referencing history
