Bridgend County Borough Council is looking to recruit an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join their established Community Mental Health Team on an initial 3-month contract for 2 days a week

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified AMHP to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, undertaking statutory Mental Health Act duties and contributing to high-quality mental health interventions across the borough. The team offers a collaborative working environment alongside a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• Current AMHP qualification and approval

• A recognised Social Work qualification

• Registration with Social Care Wales

• Recent experience undertaking AMHP duties within a Community Mental Health setting

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle

• Minimum of 3 years' referencing history
